There’s so much talk about people wearing masks and doing the right thing by sticking to the rules but it’s also down to employers to protect their staff and do the right thing too. I joined Elmes Homecare 6 months ago and I can say 100% all of the domicillary carers are looked after and that’s why I always feel confident going to work. I’ve been given 5 tunics as I go through 3 a day, 2 t shirts as it’s been so hot, unlimited disposable gloves, sleeves, aprons and masks as well as glasses and a visor. We have been tested and receive ongoing training and when you struggle there is always a supportive and helpful voice at the end of the phone. As carers we are part of a strong and caring team and that’s why I’ve become a confident and happy carer
