Respite care is temporary, short-term care for a few days, a few weeks or a couple of months, designed to give you (or your regular carer) a break when you need it most. It may be that you have a business trip, a short holiday, a family emergency or your loved one has had a fall or illness and needs assistance while you are at work.  Whatever your respite care needs, Elmes Homecare can help.

Elmes Homecare works with you to design a carefully tailored respite care plan, following your normal routine as far as possible, so that disruption to your day to day schedules is minimised at this tricky time.

A hospital discharge can happen quickly, and often with little warning. Respite care can bridge that gap — extra support while your loved one finds their feet again at home, whether that’s help with personal care, meals, medication or simply someone there to keep an eye on things. We aim to carry out a needs assessment within 48 hours of your enquiry, and to start care within 72 hours of that assessment.
