We approached Elmes when my father needed care in his home. I became aware of Elmes originally when they used to attend my elderly neighbour all through covid and was very impressed that she had excellent care. The care and understanding my father now receives from them is first class they always communicate with me on the smallest of issues and my dad (who is ultra fussy) is so happy with the wonderful care he receives. We would be lost without them for sure totally reliable and trustworthy.

This was my first time getting any support in the care of my elderly (96-year-old) mother, and both she and I were a little apprehensive. However, Elmes Homecare made the whole process very reassuring. Currently, they are providing companionship visits to Mum so that I can have some kind of social life and the relief to me of being able to leave my Mum in safe hands has been immense. We had been concerned that perhaps Mum would see a parade of different carers but in fact, so far, Mum has had the same carer every time and the pair of them already seem to have formed a lovely bond. As a sole carer for my mum, I was beginning to feel overwhelmed but now, with the help of Elmes, I feel as if I have got some of my old life back and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Elmes Homecare has been looking after my mother since her husband died 18 months ago and also looked after him previously. We are extremely happy and satisfied with the care they provide and would definitely recommend them. Carers and office staff are always very helpful and understanding and very accommodating to any last-minute requests.

I highly recommend Elmes Homecare Ltd, having been a client for nearly three years now. They choose their staff well and work cooperatively with the client to maintain high standards in their levels of care and interpersonal relationships. This has been vital for us, as a family, as both our parents have dementia and one of them can't communicate their needs. The carers are kind, respectful, observant and caring and issues are communicated to us if they arise. The office staff are friendly, helpful and do their best to be accommodating with any extra requests for help, which can sometimes be last minute. Overall, we feel able to trust in the care they provide, which gives enormous peace of mind and enables the family carers to maintain a life balance in challenging circumstances.

Elmes Homecare are a marvellous care agency. Because of their personal care of our dad (93 years old) over the last two years, it has been possible to enable Dad to remain in his home, despite him becoming very forgetful and unable to look after his domestic arrangements. Dad enjoys the company of the Lovely carers who look after him four times a day, sorting his meals and laundry, keeping him calm, having lovely chats and ensuring his medication regime is kept to, etc. His house is also well looked after! Elmes are excellent communicators and ensure we know of concerns they might have or changes to timetables. In fact, there are very rarely any changes to Dad’s care plans. Elmes have swiftly accommodated last minute needs to increase Dad’s care plan hours. They go above and beyond their duty of care. We highly recommend Elmes.

Elmes Homecare cared for my mum during the last few weeks of her life. All of the staff were amazing. They cared for my mum with great skill, compassion and professionalism. Her needs changed quickly, but Elmes Homecare were able to respond and give us the help we needed. I am so grateful to them and could not recommend them more highly.

A difficult task, sometimes I know, but your staff carried out their duties with great care and kindness and helped to make her last few months as comfortable as possible. We had a very prompt and professional response to our initial enquiry with Elmes Homecare. They were able to set up and advise on a care plan to meet our father's needs, promptly matching a very good carer to suit. Since starting, the carer's work has been of a high quality and she has made a positive impact to our father's daily life already. Importantly they get on very well! We were also very impressed how helpful Elmes were in responding to a family request for some 'one off' additional help. They're always willing to help solve any request. We will turn to them first for advice and any further help.

Everyone at Elmes showed such love and care to my aunt for three years. Her final weeks were difficult, but all the carers looked after her so well. They would stay on, after their time finished, just to sit with her. We couldn’t have found a more caring group. she looked on them as trusted friends. Elmes even supplied a weekly cleaner and her flat was always spotless. I have no hesitation in recommending them all.

There's so much talk about people wearing masks and doing the right thing by sticking to the rules but it's also down to employers to protect their staff and do the right thing too. I joined Elmes Homecare 6 months ago and I can say 100% all of the domicillary carers are looked after and that's why I always feel confident going to work. I've been given 5 tunics as I go through 3 a day, 2 t shirts as it's been so hot, unlimited disposable gloves, sleeves, aprons and masks as well as glasses and a visor. We have been tested and receive ongoing training and when you struggle there is always a supportive and helpful voice at the end of the phone. As carers we are part of a strong and caring team and that's why I've become a confident and happy carer

The wonderful Elmes team have provided excellent care for my mother. They have shown flexibility and that personal touch whilst applying the most rigourous standards in these Covid times. After my mother had a stay in hospital the Elmes team put in place a Respite Package that helped her settle back in her home environmental. I have no hesitation in recommending Elmes team.
